I believe Vienna Youth Soccer has seen significant change and positive growth over the last 4 years. The House and Travel programs continue to thrive and grow with the strong interest in soccer starting at the youngest ages. As President of VYS, I will focus the energy of VYS and the Board in the following areas:
- House Soccer – VYS represents one of the largest House programs in the area. VYS continues to draw many kids at all ages and provides the opportunity for players to challenge themselves at their own pace. Continuing to find ways to engage these players and provide additional training, is crucial to VYS’ ongoing success.
- Travel Soccer – Strengthen the player development program at the younger age groups, continue the existing training with professional coaches and find ways to challenge those players that have great passion and skill.
- VYS Vision – Work with the Board and Membership to create the key goals to accomplish over the next 12 months to continue improving the experiences we offer the players. VYS is a tremendous club that reaches kids of all age groups and backgrounds with the simple goal of having fun on the soccer field. We have the opportunity to not just develop their soccer skills but expose them to life lessons and experiences that they can rely on as they grow older.
- Member Involvement - Tap into the broad base of soccer knowledge in VYS and encourage parents to become involved by sharing their ideas and suggestions on how to keep the club moving forward.
