Eduardo Lima, Technical Director

eduardo eddie limaEduardo (Eddie) Lima vystd@vys.org, VYS Technical Director,  holds numerous coaching licenses, including the National Youth License and the USSF National Coaching License. He has coached at the local level, including James Madison High School, as well as at the state and national levels, specifically for the Olympic Development Program, a national development program for high-level players. In the ODP arena, his teams earned regional championships and an appearance as a national finalist.

Born and raised in Sao Paolo, Brazil, Eddie moved to the United States in 1996 to attend George Mason University after a stellar career in Brazilian soccer that included international competition with professional clubs Sao Paolo, F.C. and Londrina F.C. While earning his BS degree in business at George Mason, Eddie established himself as an offensive force, with records that still stand in goals, assists, and total points. He was inducted into the GMU Soccer Hall of Fame in 2006, and each year the “Eduardo Lima Offensive Player of the Year Award” is presented to the team’s top offensive player.

Through International Touch Soccer, Eddie previously served as Technical Director of the VYS U8, U9, and U10 Academies, as well as the VYS Foot Skills Academy. He has also been instrumental in collaboration efforts to create a new regional foundation for restructuring player development for the U9 – U12 age groups.
