Commissioners
Laws Of The Game
Vienna Youth Soccer follows VYS Modified FIFA Laws for U6 - U19.  Any proposed modifications to these Laws of the Game must be submitted in writing to the VPs of Referees for approval or they will not be applied.  Any disputes to this matter may be addressed with the R&D Committee.

Authority Of The Game
The Referee's decision is final, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Any complaints against a referee should be communicated with VPs of Referees by the VP for House.  Division Commissioner must contact the VP for House regarding any referee issues/complaints.  The VP for House will contact the VPs of Referees.

Parent Volunteer Linesmen
A parent volunteering to assist a referee is not considered as an Assistant Referee, if not USSF certified and in proper uniform.  The responsibilities of a Parent Volunteer are limited to calling the ball in or out of field of play and whether there is a goal kick or corner kick, ONLY.  Any injury should be acknowledged immediately.  Parent volunteer linesman may not call offside.  A Center Referee has the authority to overturn ANY call made by a parent volunteer and even an AR.  Parent volunteer linesman must refrain from making any negative comments/dissent toward the CR.  Parent volunteers running the lines must also refrain from cheering for players as it distracting to players.

Referee Abuse
Please remind coaches/parents/players that referee abuse/assault will not be tolerated and may result in ejection from the field or even school/park grounds.  Violation to a referee may result in adjudication before the Rules and Discipline Committee.  Complaints should be discussed in an appropriate forum at an appropriate time.  During a game is never an appropriate place or time for such discussions with a referee.  Let's set a positive example for our children.  Our children are best served with their coaches/parents/supporters on the field, NOT OFF!

Referee Schedule
Referee assignments will be posted on MySoccerLeague.com and available for viewing.

Referee Evaluations
Referee evaluations are welcome and encouraged.  A completed form may be submitted to the VPs of Referees.

Game Cancellation
Any cancellation of games, due to reasons other than field closures, must be determined by the appropriate age group commissioner.  Commissioner must then report cancellation to VP of Referees.  Failure to comply will be considered a forfeit and the game may not be rescheduled or assigned referees.
