We’re making some great progress already early in the season.  The girls are adapting well to the position rotation and continuing to enjoy the game and spending time with their teammates.  We had great practice and training sessions this week, though unfortunately Coach Emil came down with the flu and was unable to make practice on Weds.  Hopefully he’ll be back in action for our game on Sunday.  It was great to have Coach Dave back in action on Weds, and with some help from Jim, we had things well covered on Weds.  On Monday, Eddie worked on basic shooting, kicking, and passing techniques.  These skills are essential, and something we’ll be focusing on in upcoming training sessions this spring.  If you’re looking for a reason to get your daughter out of the house to enjoy the weather, have them practice these against a net, garage, or with a sibling (if available).  During coach’s practice on Weds, we focused on goal kick, kickoff, and throw-in positioning and strategy, as these were areas we noticed needed some focus during our last game.  Ainsley & Jeanne will be in goal for our game this weekend against the LMVSA Patriots 98.  Audra & Macy are slated to cover goal in next week’s game.  See you on Sunday.
