The Vienna Hurricanes are a rising U16 girls travel team. They are an impressive core of girls who just finished the 2007 Spring season in first place in ODSL division 2 with a 5-0-3 record. They are seeking four to five players to join them in the Fall of 2007 as they move up into ODSL division 1. Tryouts are open to anyone born on or after 1 August, 1991. Tryouts will be held on Thursday, June 21st, from 5:00 to 6:30pm at the Dunn Loring Center field, located at the corner of Idylwood and Gallows roads. Please bring shin guards, a ball, and plenty of water. Hurricanes team philosophy includes the development of both individual soccer skills and team work while balancing competitiveness and fun in a productive environment. They have a great atmosphere for both players and parents, all of whom actively support the team. They play possession style soccer with emphasis on team movement and decision making. The Hurricanes are professionally coached and offer near year round training and play. During the regular season, they practice twice a week with one game. They also try to play in two to three competitive tournaments per year.
