Effective May 2009, VYS put in place a new set of policies and procedures to govern Travel soccer. These new policies and procedures apply immediately to all new VYS Travel teams for the Fall 2009 season and will be applicable to all VYS Travel teams starting with the Fall 2010 season.

VYS Travel Program Policies & Procedures

Anyone interested in coaching a VYS travel team should fill out and submit a VYS Travel Coach Application Form.  Filling out the application does not guarantee that someone will be chosen as a Travel coach.

Please review Section 3.1 of the VYS Travel Program Policies & Procedures document for the minimum requirements needed to be considered as a coach for a VYS Travel team. Interested coaches should send the application form to the appropriate NCSL, WAGS, or ODSL club rep listed under VYS Contacts and to the VP of Travel Soccer by November 1 for Spring play, and by March 1 for Fall play, and will then be asked to meet with the Travel Committee.  All coaches must complete a Kid Safe form and a background check will be conducted, if chosen to become a VYS Travel Coach.

All team officials listed on your team roster must register with VYSA prior to the creation of your roster.  The form can be found on the VYSA web site under Registration & Forms by selecting OnLine KidSafe Application.
