Congratulations to the U9G Vienna Attack who were the champions in their division in the Virginian Soccer Tournament this past weekend, May 24-26. During the tournament, the Attack scored 22 goals and only had 2 goals scored against them. The Attack played well the entire weekend winning both of its games on Saturday, beating Arlington Forza Rozza 5-1 and beating LMVSA 2-1. On Sunday, they won both games, 9-0 against Clarkstown, NY and 2-0 against Alexandria Revolution White 2-0, which propelled them into the final the next day. They capped off a great weekend with a 4-0 victory over PWSI Courage White in the final. 5 different players scored goals and the defense was outstanding which included 3 shutouts in 5 games. The team consists of Naomi Bergin, Bailey Edwards, Delaney Fitzgerald, Kristen Halper, Sophia Sabardine, Nikita Sawant, Ashley Sayadian, Ellie Smith, Bridget Whelpley, and Devon Williams. The team is coached by Dennis Bergin and trained by Quan Phan. Congratulations to the entire Attack team for an outstanding showing at the tournament.
