U13G Thunder Red went undefeated again in winning its second tournament this season, with nine players scoring goals during the weekend.  Thanks to Thunder Red’s strong defense, the team’s dedicated GK did not see much action during regulation play, but she really showed her stuff during the penalty kick round of the Championship game, blocking 3 shots to cinch the team’s shutout record, while her teammates sunk 3 solid shots to end the PK round.

VYS Thunder Red won the U13G white division championship of the PWSI Toys for Tots Tournament over Labor Day weekend.  Thunder Red was undefeated for the tournament, shutting out their opponents in 3 of their 4 games and scoring a total of 8 goals.  This was the team’s first 11 v 11 game play with a new roster of players coming from 4 different travel teams last year.  What a great start to the Fall 2011 season!
