Pictured above: The entire U10 Boys All Stars teams.
The 2004 (U14) team had a phenomenal All-Star tournament. We were ranked 1st after Saturday after only giving up 1 goal in all 4 games. We won in the final game with a score of 8-1. In the end we had 32 goals and gave up 4.
Not only was this an extremely talented group of kids, but they were also the nicest bunch of boys I have ever coached. All of them were hardworking, and willing to play any position I put them in.
My assistant coach was a boy who couldn’t play on our team because he was born in 2003, but loves the game so much he wanted to be a part of all-stars even though he couldn’t play. - Coach Pete Meyer

U10 Boys Team Sullivan enjoyed a wonderful weekend of soccer!
The Vienna Wolves had a terrific experience in the VYS-only U8 tournament at Marshall High School.
Despite the cold and wind, the Wolves played six competitive games of smart, gutsy soccer against the other well-matched Vienna teams.

"Vienna Red" U10 girls team from the Herndon All Star Cup over the weekend.
The girls played so well on Saturday; they won 3 games out of 4 and earned a #4 seed for the Sunday finale.
On Sunday, they fell 2-0 to the SYA team after holding SYA to 0-0 in the first half. The wind certainly was a factor but our girls stood tall and competed the entire game from start to finish!
This was a positive experience for girls and parents.
The VYS U9 Girls Red Fire Devils had a great weekend. They went 3-0-1 on Saturday to finish seeded 3rd out of 10 in their division.
They then lost to the 2 seed on penalty kicks after a very hard played game.
They played their hearts out and represented VYS both on the field and with good sportsmanship after a disappointing end. Great weekend with some great players and families.
U13 Girls All-Stars. These girls are the real deal. Record of 2 wins and 2 ties. Only 1 goal scored against them in 100 minutes of games today.
On to the championship game. U13 Girls All-Stars lost a tough game to NVSC, but could not be more proud of these girls.
Vienna White Finalists in U12B Division The Vienna White U12 boys braved windy and cold conditions at the Herndon All Star Cup to claim the runners-up spot in their bracket after losing a hard fought championship game to McLean.
On Saturday, the Vienna White boys played well but narrowly lost 3 games against Annandale, Burke and NVSC, tied with PWSI and finished in 13th place in their division. Despite ending on the bottom of the table, the boys turned things around in the playoff games on Sunday beating Burke and Warrenton convincingly before succumbing to a very strong McLean team in the championship. A fantastic performance from a great team!

Our U8 All-Stars were super-excited to play in the VYS tournament at Marshall HS. Over two practice weeks and six games they came together as a team and played outstanding soccer.
They competed with good sportsmanship and great effort. We could not be prouder of them! Congrats to all the teams for a great tournament weekend!
Thank-you to all parents for your support of this event in such cold and windy conditions!
U8 Boys - Dragons played 6 games against the other U8 boys Vienna teams. The Dragons played very well in all games which ended up all very evenly matched. It was a long weekend of non-stop soccer for the boys - even between games. Great bunch of boys to coach.

The U-10 Girl Gummy Hydras played their hearts out, but things didn't go our way.
On Saturday, two losses to the eventual top two seeds, and two 1-0 losses where we hit the post in each game.
The Gummy Hydras were eliminated in the early hours Sunday morning. The girls battled every game, and gave it their all. We had many compliments from the opposing teams and parents. They made me proud!

The Vienna Red Devils U11 girls team participated in the Herndon All Star Cup over the weekend at South Lakes High School. The coaches were Todd Nelson and Sofia Devin.
The girls were all playing up to U11 from U10 and played very well on Saturday. They competed vigorously and went 2-1-1 on the day earning a #3 seed for the Sunday round after allowing only one goal all day.
On Sunday, they fell 4-3 on penalty kicks after tying a Chantilly team (1-1 in regulation) they previously beat 1-0 on Saturday.
The wind certainly was a factor but these girls never complained and had fun throughout the tournament! This was a positive and fun experience for the girls, coaches, and parents. Good sportsmanship was displayed by all participating teams and the girls traded patches with their opponents. We had eyes on the hardware, but it was not to be this time around.
The U8 boys Red Devils played very well in the windy weather, playing smart, passing soccer and and learning more about the game. The U8 boys teams were very evenly matched and the boys had a lot of fun. Back row, L-R: Yousef, John, Joseph, Beckett; Front Row, L-R, Thomas, Aayam, Massimo, Joseph.
VYS U11 Girls played up in the U12 tournament and made it to the finals on Sunday. They defeated McLean 2-1 and Sterling 1-0 before falling to FPYC 2-0. The girls had a lot of fun at the tournament!
