What is the eligibility cutoff dates for House Soccer?
The U4 Cubs and U5-U19 House League use the following cutoff dates for age group eligibility: August 1 - July 31 of the following year. See Age Group Guidelines.
TOPSoccer does not have cutoff dates and is open to all players ages 4-18 years of age.

When can I register my player for House Soccer programs?
House Soccer programs are offered twice a year (Fall and Spring). Fall registration runs from May - October. Spring registration runs from November - April.

Can I register my player for a training program only?
Yes, players may register for the Development Center and/or Goalkeeper programs only. 

When does the season start?
In general, the Fall season starts in September and ends mid-November. The Spring season starts late March and ends mid-June.

How many practices a week will my child have to attend?

  • U4 Cubs meets once a week.
  • U5-U19 House League can have one-two practices a week depending on the player's age and division
  • TOPSoccer meets once a week on a Saturday afternoon from 3pm - 4pm.

When will we find out about practice schedules and locations?
Your coach will contact you closer to the beginning of the season about practices and game schedules and locations.

How do I get a uniform?
House uniforms for U4-U8 are provided by VYS and distributed by your coach at the first practice. U13 players are required to purchase a uniform kit during registration. U14 and older players may reuse their uniform from prior seasons or purchase a new one during registration.

How are teams formed?
Teams are only formed for the House Soccer U5-U19 program.

The House Commissioners form teams, based on the number of volunteer coaches and assistant coaches. Commissioners use neighborhoods and schools as guidelines when forming teams of equal strength so that all players have a fun and safe experience.

How and when do I find out what team my child is on?
Teams are only formed for the House Soccer U5-U19 program.

Your child’s coach will contact you one week prior to the start of the playing season.  If you have not been contacted within that timeframe, please contact the House Commissioner for your child’s age group.

  • U5 players meet on Saturdays for a one-hour training session.

  • TOPSoccer (fun soccer for children with disabilities) meet once a week on a Saturday afternoon from 3pm - 4pm.

How much does it cost?

How do I obtain a refund for the House / TOPSoccer / Parent League?
refund for registration fees may be obtained by e-mailing the VYS Registrar at Registrar@vys.org. A $30 processing fee will be subtracted from all refunds requested. No refunds will be given after the first game, unless there is an injury in the beginning of the season, and the child cannot play soccer. If an injury occurs, and VYS is contacted during the same season that the injury occurs, the refund will be based on how many weeks the child has played soccer. Please do not contact your coach or house commissioner for a refund.
