TOPSoccer (Fun Soccer for Children with Disabilities)
Vienna Youth Soccer is proud to offer TOPSoccer, fun soccer for children with disabilities for ages 4 to 18 years old. This program is affiliated with the US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer, The Outreach Program for Soccer.
In its 9th year at VYS, TOPSoccer has continued to serve as a strong and stable community program enabling all children with mental and/or physical disabilities to participate every Saturday during the Fall and Spring seasons in a fun afternoon of soccer drills and non-competitive games tailored to each player’s ability.
Each TOPSoccer player is paired with one or two volunteer buddies with soccer experience who provide individual attention and assist with learning each soccer drill in a fun and safe manner. Nationally licensed coaches are also present to help facilitate and run practices and provide mentorship to buddies.
The cost per player is $33.00 per season which includes a t-shirt and end-of-season pizza party.
If you have a child with a disability who is interested in participating in TOPSoccer, please register him/her today or feel free to stop by a practice to speak with one of the coaches and have your child try it out at no cost.
For more information about the TOPSoccer program, please contact Program Director Bob Zadeh, email@example.com.
TOPSoccer Buddies are invaluable volunteers who assist players with disabilities with learning and playing soccer by engaging with them one-on-one, being a cheerleader, and creating a fun and safe learning environment. Buddies assist, guide, direct and teach the game of soccer and its skills while being cognizant of player safety.
Become a volunteer buddy!
Buddies may be 12 years of age or older and training will be provided. No prior TOPSoccer experience is required and no registration required. A great way to earn community service hours and be part of a great program
