Super Y Program Overview and FAQs

SuperY Program Overview

What is Super Y?

The Super Y League is a high-quality national league offering players a chance to train and compete during the summer months. The league is organized in geographic divisions and VYS teams will compete in the Mid-Atlantic division against other clubs in Virginia and Maryland. Each team will play between 8 and 12 games with half of them at home in Vienna. Teams have the opportunity to qualify (based on division standing) for the Super Y Finals in Bradenton, FL in December, and compete for a National Championship.

Eligibility

The VYS Super Y program is open for all age eligible VYS players, as well as outside players. VYS will enter 10 teams at the U10-U18 age groups for both girls and boys.

Coaching

VYS coaches have years of experience coaching in Super Y and have coached multiple teams that qualified for Super Y Finals, including winning a National Championship.

Where and when?

Teams will practice twice a week during the week starting in June and ending in early August. Training will be in Vienna. Games are usually on the weekends, but can also be scheduled during the week.

How many players will teams carry?

Teams will carry rosters large enough to allow players to miss time for family vacations, regional and national club and ODP tournaments. VYS plans to roster between 14-18 players for our U10 teams, and between 20-26 players for our U12 and above teams.
