VYSA and Fairfax County Fees
VYSA Player Registration Fee = $10
Fairfax County Fee = $8
Required by Virginia Youth Soccer Association and Fairfax County. Assessed per player.
Register early to avoid the waitlist! After the regular registration period, registrations will be accepted on a “waitlist” basis only. House Commissioners will make every effort to accept as many players as possible from the waitlist, but there are no guarantees, given team size and availability of coaches. Registration fees will be returned if you do not receive notification that your player has been accepted on a team.
Sign up as a volunteer to help make this organization successful. Non-volunteers will be assessed a one-time fee of $35 per season.
To be eligible:
- Register three or more players for the House or Travel programs*.- Request the discount within 14 days of the completion of the third registration.
How will the discount be applied?
-The discount will apply to the lowest registration fee.
How to request:
- To request a multi-sibling discount, please contact our Operations Manager.*Discount may not be applied to Goalkeeper, Indoor Winter Programs, Spring Break Camp, Summer Camps, or Development Center programs.
The $15 Fields Fee ensures all fields are mowed, trimmed and in good shape for playing each week.
VYS offers financial assistance for eligible players. Read more about the VYS Financial Aid policy and determine if your player is eligible.
House League Full Season Refund Policy
A $30 administrative fee will be subtracted from all refunds. No refunds will be made after Recreation games have started. Do not ask your coach for a refund. To request a refund, please send an email to the VYS Registrar at Registrar@vys.org.
House Program(s) Refund Policy
An administrative fee of 30% of the program’s registration fee will be subtracted from all refunds. No refund will be issued unless request is received at least seven days prior to the start of your assigned session. To request a refund, please send an email to the VYS Registrar at Registrar@vys.org.
Spring Break Camp Refund Policy
CAMP REFUNDS AND CREDITS Please review carefully. There will be no full refunds given once you sign up for camp. Camp fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. A partial, (50% of the total fees or a maximum of $100.00) refund is given to patrons that submit a request 14 days prior to the start date of camp. Patrons also have the option to transfer to another camp 14 days before the beginning of camp. Any changes in regards to registration must be presented in writing. Camps are canceled if they do not meet the threshold for minimum registration, two weeks prior to the start date of camp. If the Parks and Recreation Department cancels a camp, patrons will receive a full refund.
Summer Camp - Refund Policy
VYS understands and acknowledges that camp sign-up decisions can be partially made based on the location of the camp. Refunds will be permitted for fourteen (14) days following the release of camp field locations. Camp field locations will be released to all registrants via the email address used to register for camp. (Note: An administrative fee of 30% of the program’s registration fee will be subtracted from all refunds).
In order to request a refund, you must send an email to Registrar@vys.org no later than fourteen (14) days following the camp location email announcement. If a request is not received within the fourteen (14) day period, all camp tuition and fees are non-refundable.
VYS Weather Policy
If your game is on artificial turf and it’s just rain, we play! If your game is on grass and it's just rain, please travel to the site unless otherwise directed, as decisions will be made by the head coach (U5 - U8) or referee (U9 - above) at the field, unless the fields are already closed and posted on the website.
The only time we will stop play is in the case of extreme inclement weather, temperature or thunder and lightning. Our coaches and referees will make the appropriate decision should the weather become an issue. The safety and well-being of the children is our number one priority. We will make every effort to notify you in advance if we are canceling due to inclement weather, however sometimes we have to make the decision at the field.
