ON-LINE REGISTRATION: For “returning” players, VYS offers on-line registration (with a credit card) for the fall 2008 season. “First-time” registrants may also register on-line; however, you are required to mail in the registration fee, along with a copy of your player’s birth certificate for proof of age.
MAIL-IN REGISTRATION: Registration forms may be downloaded from our website. Forms must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Unsigned forms, forms bearing incomplete information, or accompanied by incorrect fees will be returned, and must be sent back to VYS by July 20, 2008 to avoid a late fee. We cannot properly place your child if information is excluded or incorrect. Make checks payable to Vienna Youth Soccer.
WALK-IN REGISTRATION: Walk-in registrations will be held on the following dates: Saturday, June 7, June 21, and July 12, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Thoreau Middle School, 2505 Cedar Lane, Vienna, VA. Note: If this is your first registration with VYS, our volunteers will need to see a copy of your player’s birth certificate to verify his/her date of birth. Discounted fees apply only to on-line and walk-in registrations.

FINANCIAL AID REQUEST: (Walk-In or Mail-In Registration Options Only)
VYS policy states that no child should be denied participation in soccer due to financial need. To request financial aid for Travel or House league fees and/or soccer equipment necessary to play the game of soccer, please click here to obtain the form. A separate form must be completed and submitted for each player. (Note: If you received financial aid in the Fall, you must also submit a new application for the Spring season.) Attach the Financial Aid Request to your Registration form and mail to: VYS, P.O. Box 993, Vienna, VA 22183, or you may bring it to one of the “walk-in” registrations listed above. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE ON-LINE SYSTEM TO REGISTER.
GRADE LEVEL EXCEPTION (GLE): VYS policy allows players in the U5 to U12 House League Age Divisions, with birthdates that fall between August 1st and September 30th, and who are in school in the next higher grade, to play up one age division so that they can play with friends in their grade school class. A player must meet both conditions to be eligible for the Grade Level Exception.
NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO PLAY UP INTO THE U5 DIVISION, AS PER EXISTING POLICY -- NO EXCEPTIONS.
The on-line registration form provides all players with August or September birthdays an option to register by "birth year", or by "grade" level. Registering by "grade" indicates you are requesting a Grade Level Exception and that you want your child to play up with his or her grade school class. If you select to register by "grade", you must also send an email to registrar@vys.org, indicating you have requested a Grade Level Exception. This request must be submitted each season.
If you are using the walk-in or mail-in options, you must submit a Grade Level Exemption form (which is downloadable from our website) along with your registration form.
VYS UNIFORM KIT: All players, ages 13 and up, registering to play in the House League, are required to wear a VYS uniform. The cost of the VYS uniform kit is $30 and includes: 2 jerseys (one red, one white); 1 pair of shorts; and 1 pair of soccer socks. Uniform kits can be purchased via on-line, walk-in or mail-in registration. Kits will be distributed prior to September 13, 2008.
SEASON CALENDAR: All House League regular-season games will begin on September 13, 2008. We will play an eight-game schedule, weather permitting. Last regular season game will be played on November 1, 2008. Picture Day is September 27th (rain or shine) at Thoreau Middle School.
