Tryouts

The VYS Velocity, rising U16 Boys, will hold tryouts for next season (Fall 2008/Spring 2009) on Tuesday, June 10th and Thursday, June 12th, 6:00-7:30, at Murphy Field at Dunn Loring. In the event of rain, a make-up tryout will be held at the same location and time on Tuesday, June 17th.

Interested players should plan to attend all tryouts.

The Velocity is coached by Mr. Ty Enmark, who had a highly successful career playing for Virginia Tech, where he graduated with academic honors in 2000. The team currently plays ODSL Division 1, but plans to transfer to NCSL for the Fall season.

VYS Velocity Wins The Virginian Memorial Day Tournament

"Congratulations to the VYS Velocity (U15 Boys), who took first place in their division at The Virginian Memorial Day Weekend Tournament. The team went 2-0-1 in their preliminary round, then won their semi-final match 2-0, and capped off a great weekend of soccer with a hard fought, last minute 3-2 victory over the NVSC Boca Jrs. Congratulations to Coacy Ty Enmark and the entire Velocity team on an outstanding tournament!"
