College Overview

VYS is excited and honored to have so many distinguished coaches participate in The College Experience Event hosted by VYS. Each coach brings forth his own style and expectation based on years of trial and experience. Players are sure to gain a lot from the special week that will help them prepare for their collegiate success! 

Attending the Boys Sessions

Todd West, American University.  Todd West will be entering his 19th season at the helm of the American University men's soccer team in 2018. He has guided the Eagles to the Patriot League Final in six of the last eight seasons and captured the Patriot League Regular Season Championship in 2004, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2016.

Tommy DiNuzzo, Hampden-Sydney University. Tommy DiNuzzo was hired as Soccer Head Coach on February 21, 2017. In his first season on the sidelines at H-SC in 2017, the Tigers improved by four wins overall and within conference play. H-SC returned to the ODAC Tournament after a two-year hiatus, earning the #5 seed a year after finishing in 11th place. 

Graeme Millar, Stevenson University. Graeme Millar was named Stevenson's Director of Soccer and took over as head men's soccer coach on April 7, 2017. Millar was also a two-time (2009, 2010) Coach of the Year in the Capital Athletic Conference as head coach of the women's program.  Off the field, Stevenson had 13 NSCAA Scholar All-East Region selections while winning the NSCAA Team Academic Award in 2010, 2011 and 2013.

Michael Bonelli, Virginia Military Institute. A proud military college known for its history, tradition and honor offers cadets an opportunity to earn baccalaureate degrees and play within a strong athletic program. VMI men's soccer head coach Michael Bonelli enters his third season at the helm after working to re-create a winning culture during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
