The VYS U13 Girls Strikers White were undefeated in their Winter Indoor Silver division and swept their age group at the Colonial  Virginia Soccer Shootout & College Showcase in Newport News, VA on March 19 & 20, 2011.

The Strikers White seem to be on fire due to great coaching by Coach J. Marcelo Gangotena who was awarded the prestigious Adele Dolansky  Exemplary Award at the  annual VYSA Soccer Convention in January. It is awarded each year to the individual who is an example of  hard and persistent work for the good of children’s soccer programs within the Virginia Youth Soccer Association and the US Youth Soccer Association.
