Financial Aid

Background

VYS is committed to ensuring that all players seeking to play soccer within Vienna are able to do so regardless of financial or economic status. Financial Aid is available for all VYS programs offered by the club each year.

VYS will offer financial aid based on a defined set of factors. All award decisions are made at the sole discretion of VYS. The application and aid information will be kept confidential.

Eligibility

Required Documents

Required documents for documenting the mandatory eligibility criteria include the following:

  • Current Proof of Eligibility for Free or Reduced Lunch Program
  • Current Proof of Eligibility for Medicaid
  • Current Proof of Eligibility for Food Stamps
  • Current Proof of Eligibility for Social Security Income (SSI)


If you are not eligible for public assistance benefits and cannot provide a copy of one of the documents listed above, you will need to submit a copy of your current Federal Tax 1040 form (first page only).

Additional Eligibility Criteria

  • Must fill out the Financial Aid Application completely in the PlayMetrics.
  • Proof of Eligibility should be uploaded each season at the time of registration. If uploading is not possible, documents must be mailed or emailed within 3 days of registration (see contact information below).
  • Financial Aid applicants for the Travel Academy Program must request financial aid during the tryout registration process and complete the Financial Aid Application within 48 hours of receiving a Travel Academy Offer. 
  • Applicants must make a commitment to attend a minimum of 80% of scheduled practices and games.

Application Award Process

Applications for financial assistance for the 2022-2023 season are now open. The application can be found by logging into your PlayMetrics account, clicking on the “Club Programs” module on the left hand side and then the "Financial Aid" tab near the middle/top of the screen. A blue REQUEST FINANCIAL AID button will appear at the very top right corner.

Application

We are requesting ALL players utilize the PlayMetrics system to submit their application. For programs requiring Financial Aid information at program level, please make sure to complete the required information at the time of registration. If you need assistance accessing PlayMetrics or completing the application, please email VYS on the email below.

The VYS Financial Director will review applications in the order in which they are received and completed. Unlike years past, the financial aid award will be available for use in the Acceptance Process, so please get your application and supporting documents in as soon as possible.
