Vienna Youth Soccer Launches New Leadership Academy
Vienna Youth Soccer is proud to announce the launch of the Leadership Academy, a brand-new program built to develop the club's next generation of coaches, referees, mentors, and community leaders.
The Academy is a highly selective, two-year experience open to motivated
high school sophomores and juniors ready to grow beyond the game. Over the course of the program, a small cohort of just 8-12 students will work directly with VYS staff and outside industry professionals to build real leadership skills, earn nationally recognized coaching and referee certifications, and log hands-on hours across the club: from supporting recreation and TOPSoccer programs to assisting travel teams and officiating matches.
Vienna Youth Soccer is now accepting applications for the for the inaugural 2026-2028 Leadership Academy cohort.
Spots are limited, and the club is looking for students who are ready to lead.
There is no cost to participate in the Vienna Youth Soccer Leadership Academy. The program is fully funded by Vienna Youth Soccer as part of our commitment to developing the next generation of leaders within our club and community.

More Than a Soccer Program
At its core, the Leadership Academy is about
developing people.
Participants will build skills through a curriculum designed to challenge them and prepare them for life well beyond high school.
By graduation of the two year program, Academy members walk away with something rare: real leadership experience, professional credentials, and a track record of giving back to the community that shaped them.
And the ripple effect goes further than the cohort itself. The Academy was built with three ambitious goals in mind: strengthening coaching education across every age group, growing volunteer values throughout the club, and increasing opportunities for the next generation of young women and men leading the world.
Admission is intentionally limited, every participant gets a personalized experience: direct mentorship, individualized feedback, and the chance to genuinely shape the culture of Vienna Youth Soccer for years to come.

The Academy requires an ongoing commitment of time, effort, and engagement throughout the two year program.
