Professional Coaching Staff

USSF License Pathway:
Did you know our coaching staff follows a structured pathway outlined by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF)? This pathway ensures that our coaches undergo rigorous training and certification, starting from grassroots levels and progressing to advanced licenses (D-A). International Licensing:
In addition to USSF licenses, many of our coaches hold international coaching licenses from organizations such as the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and the Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (CONMEBOL).

Age-Appropriate Practices:
We recognize the importance of age-appropriate training methodologies. For our U9-U12 age groups, training sessions are conducted together at the same location (gender-specific), fostering camaraderie and teamwork among players of similar ages. Similarly, our U13-U19 teams train on half a field with the same gender and are grouped by age (e.g., U13/U14, U15/U16, U17/U19), ensuring that training sessions are tailored to the specific needs and capabilities of each cohort.
Utilization of Turf Fields:
Rain or shine, our players train on top-tier turf fields. This ensures that inclement weather does not disrupt practice sessions, allowing for consistent and effective training experiences throughout the year.
Consistent Curriculum:
Our Directors of Coaching (DOC) build and design age-specific training curricula that form the backbone of our program. These curricula are tailored to each age group's developmental needs, ensuring that players receive targeted instruction that aligns with their skill level and growth trajectory.
Explosive Performance Training:
Players in the U13-U19 age brackets benefit from our Explosive Performance program, spanning eight weeks. This specialized training focuses on proper form, injury prevention, and maximizing athletic performance, equipping players with the skills and resilience needed to excel at the elite and competitive levels.
Professional Support:
The safety and well-being of our players are paramount. That's why licensed trainers from the Jackson Clinic attend all ECNL Regional League games involving our Elite (Eagles & Phoenix) teams. The trainers provide immediate assistance and support to players in case of injuries, ensuring they receive the best care during critical moments.
Tournament Participation:
VYS travel teams are immersed in a competitive environment with the opportunity to participate in 4-6 tournaments throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. These tournaments test players' abilities and provide invaluable experiences that contribute to their overall development as athletes and team members.

Our U13-U19 teams utilize VEO technology, which provides valuable insights through video analysis, helping players refine their skills and tactical understanding.
